The room was very big, with separate Japanese-style "living room" and two western-style beds in their own bedroom. We also had a private Onsen bath in our room. It felt like luxury for a not-so-terribly-high price. The restaurant was great but we only had breakfast there. The hotel Onsen was clean and nice too but it was our first true Onsen experience so it's hard to compare. Staff didn't speak much English but was very nice and helpful. We profited from the seaside location of Ito for swimming in the ocean, both at Ito beach and at the Penguin beach nearby. We also rented a car for a day and visited Mount Omuro and Lake Ashi (Hakone), which allowed us to drive through the mountains and have wonderful views of the Pacific, the countryside and Mount Fuji that showed up right in front of us several times. I chose Ito as an alternative to Hakone and both my wife and me were very happy about this choice!

The room was very spacious with both a bedroom part and a tatami room. The private bath was the best! Really big and a good temperature which you could adjust to an extent. It was such a good design! The separate basin area and separate toilet were also appreciated. The staff were very polite and welcomed us with a Japanese jelly treat and tea upon arrival. The hotel itself feels very spacious and has a beautiful outdoor pond with carp. We didn't go to the onsen but it seemed to be very popular. It was a bit more expensive relative to the rest of the accommodation for our time in Japan but it was still well-priced, especially for the private bath and onsen! We really enjoyed Ito as well. We could easily walk to restaurants and other parts of town including the station to do day trips to other parts of the Izu Peninsula.

This is an upscale yet affordable onsen hotel with a mix of Western and Japanese styles in the rooms which makes for a very comfortable stay. I stayed in one of the rooms with a Japanese sitting room and onsen in the room. There is a public onsen in the hotel, but having an in-room onsen is a real luxury, particularly in a hotel that is quite affordable compared to similar hotels in the larger tourist-oriented cities in Japan. The dinner I had in the hotel restaurant was exceptional and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I had in Japan.

The property felt upscale and was very attractive, with parking in a lot next door. Our room was spacious with an Onsen bath in it which was lovely. The downside was that it made the room very warm yet the front desk clerk asked us to not use the air conditioning and just open a window (a cross breeze was not possible). When the heat in the room made it difficult to sleep we did turn on the AC for a time to cool off but found it didn't work so well the next morning. This room would be great for a wintertime visit. We were here in April.

We booked a room with hot spring bath and it's really spacious. The staffs are polite and nice. If you want your room to be cleaned every day during your stay, you can leave your room key to the front desk when you go out. There are one or two convenience stores around and a supermarket within 8-mins walking distance. If you take a taxi between the Ito JR station and hotel, it's just a flag-fall fare around 830 yen (680+VAT, if I understand correctly)
